aya turns twelve

happy birthday!
asian youth ambassadors (aya) turns twelve this week!
*woots*

i’ve enjoyed four awesome years growing and serving with aya.

i remember how it all started — dream malaysia conference 2002.
i remember reading about the dream village and about dream malaysia 2020. i was skeptical. with my very own mouth i confessed out loud that all of what i read was utter rubbish.

i knew not of aya or her works. i knew not of the people behind aya. i didn’t even know, at that time, that the dream malaysia conference 2002 was organised by aya. in simple meaning, i had zero knowledge about aya.
in fact, the only reason why i was even at the conference was because spm just ended and a couple of friends were joining it so i blindly tagged along.
they understood the passion of aya. i accused them of being stupid. i boldly said that aya was dreaming too big.

by God’s divine appointment everything changed in the next two month.
hard to share every tiny detail here but it all started with a simple invitation to a christian gathering called ‘campuscity‘ by a friend’s friend whom i met at the conference. in that same week as well i got admitted to hospital due to wrong medication which resulted in me nearly loosing my life.
it was the very same people that i met (and some who had no clue who i was at that time) at campuscity that was praying for me and with me.
solely out of gratitude and also the urge of meeting new people (since i just started studying in taylor’s college), i started joining campuscity after that.

i think it was about a month or two after that that i saw the very same blue booklet that was given out during the dream malaysia conference 2002 in campuscity.
the puzzle fitted. i finally understood what it was all really about.

today i’m proud to say i’m beside aya all the way.
i seen her works. i’ve witness the changes in my life and in the life of others.
i’m now a believer of aya’s heart, mission and passion.

once again,
blessed twelve anniversary aya!
may the good Lord continue to expand your territory.
may He use you to touch and change more lives.
may you be blessed so that you can be a blessing.

thank you.
