beloved friend

i was cleaning up my room when i found a sheet of paper folded neatly inside the many layer of old cards that i always find hard to throw away even if it’s like aeon years old. immediate a tiny smile formed but sadly that didn’t last long when i realised that that was one of the last few poems you wrote so effortlessly yet so beautifully.

you loved words and words loved you too. i envied your flare for words and talent in art greatly and you knew that. you got me hooked to those fantasy novels you wrote. i had a tough time trying to read in class while the teacher was teaching. you never got around to finish your fourth and fifth book. i wished you did. well, that was the first and last fantasy novel i’ve read to date.

beautiful memories still remain close to my heart my dear friend. life robbed you from your wondrous dreams. yet till the end you stood strong brave as a soldier. you vowed never to give up, you inspired many.

there’ll always be the ‘if only’ and ‘whys’. God knew best and i know He loved you. please know that you’ll always be missed.

always.

life is short and unfair
like the sun so high up there
it shines as if so long
but soon, it shall be gone

friendship is an eternity
full of meaning and security
like hope, it shan’t die
in heaven it ranks high

you always be in my mind
no matter where or what time
being friends with you is a pleasure
our times together, i deeply treasure

good old high-school days

it’s good to know that i’m fondly remembered. even after many years have gone by. even when i’ve lost touched with most of you. some of you actually took the trouble to search me out. you left a smile on my face together with a filled tummy.

it’s even better to know i’ve made an impact somehow in some way, without me knowing it. my heart feels blessed.

catching up was good. some news were expected, some came as a surprise. i wonder how much things will change when we meet the next time? whatever the challenges maybe, i wish you all success.

there was much fear in the beginning. but i thank God our path crossed. if i had a chance to relive one moment of my life, i would choose those fun moments back in year 2000. minus the homework, of course.

i can’t thank each and everyone of you enough. you were more than just good friends. you became my family.

i was looking back at some of our pictures. boy, i miss those times. but mostly, i miss you all…

look what i got!

i found this idea amusingly interesting. here are random pictures to further tease your curiosity:

flatman coasters half-cut marbles signboard kissing bears

seriously, check it out!
got me thinking about the amount of stuff we unconsciously collect and store in the hidden corners of our room… or at least the amount of junk i store in my room.

i have this tendency of collecting nonsense.
either it’s because i get too sentimental over certain stuff that i can’t bring myself to throw it (even if it’s broken) or i’ll get this ‘great’ idea that i just might need it one day.

yeah, right.
i’ll forget about it the next minute till i ter-stumble on it the next time. even if i did ter-remember, i would have forgotten where i kept it..

now that i’m about to move house in 2-3 months, the idea is simply brilliant!

you got my full support, wee liem.

sigh, talk about will power.

i blame the many you(s) for your persistence,
i especially blame ms. debbie ng..
hehe!

now the constant email invitations, msn/skype/google/yahoo/friendster messages, bugging during mamak sessions, etc. will stop.
phew!

now,
you know what you need to do, don’t you?

nando’s n laundry bar

this auntie turned 22 on oct 11, 2007.
we had an all-girls night out celebration with her at midvalley’s nando’s. we bought her two birthday cakes by mistake… quite funny actually!.

we decided to use the other birthday cake for her next birthday celebration the next day–which i organised it at laundry bar, the curve. …okay la, i’ll admit that i wanted to check out laundry for a long time now…

but with all the late nights i have been having the past week due to work, etc., i was really zoned out nearing midnight. worst, the pictures shows every ounce of it…

but it doesn’t change the fact i had an awesome time! … so enjoy…
